Scored on the register alone. Safer gambling tool coverage and RTP disclosure are only counted for operators we have tested directly, and this one has not been tested yet, so those weights are excluded rather than guessed. How the score works

The enforcement component carries the most weight and it is what moves this figure: £170,000 in penalties across 1 decision published since September 2023, weighted towards the most recent. 6 years of licensed operation gives partial credit on tenure, which reaches full marks at fifteen. No licence has been revoked, so licence standing is unaffected.

What the Gambling Commission has published about Taichi Tech Limited

Each entry below is a published decision, reproduced from the Commission's register of regulatory actions as read on 11 August 2026. Wording is the Commission's, not ours.

This is not the company's full enforcement history. The Commission withdraws a decision from the register three years after it is published, so what appears here — and every total on this page — covers decisions from September 2023 onwards. Penalties issued before then, including some of the largest in the Commission's history, are no longer on the register and are not counted. How this window affects the score.

Conditions attached to the licence and Financial penalty

  • LC 7.1.1
  • LC 12.1.1Anti-money-laundering controls

Following a review of the operating licence undertaken against Taichi Tech Limited t/a Fafabet (“the Licensee”) the Commission found that the Licensee: Breached paragraph 1 of Licence Condition 7.1.1 - Fair and Transparent terms and practices Breached paragraphs 2 and 3 of Licence Condition 12.1.1 - Prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing Failed to comply with paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 of social responsibility code provision 3.4.1 - Remote Customer Interaction Failed to comply with paragraph 2 of social responsibility code provision 5.1.9 - Other marketing requirements. In addition, Officials consider the Licensee failed to adequately consider Ordinary Code Provision 2.1.1 - Anti Money Laundering Casino. Failure to comply with a social responsibility code provision is a breach of a licence condition by virtue of section 82(1) of the Gambling Act 2005. In line with the Commission’s Licensing, compliance and enforcement policy statement, the Indicative sanctions guidance and the Statement of principles for determining financial penalties, the Commission has decided to: attach an additional condition to the Licensee’s operating licence under section 117(1)(b) of the Act requiring the Licensee to conduct a third-party audit within 12 months of the conclusion of the review, to examine whether the Licensee is effectively implementing its anti-money laundering and social responsibility policies, procedures and controls; impose a financial penalty of £170,000 under section 121 of the Act. The Licensee co-operated with the Commission throughout the investigation and took corrective steps to address the identified failings.

Common questions about Taichi Tech Limited

Is Taichi Tech Limited licensed in the UK?

Yes. The Gambling Commission lists 3 active operating licences against Taichi Tech Limited, account number 57385, the earliest running since 23 February 2021. That includes an active remote casino licence, so it is permitted to offer online casino games to British players.

Has Taichi Tech Limited been fined by the Gambling Commission?

1 regulatory action is currently published against it, decided since September 2023 and totalling £170,000. The most recent was decided on 17 April 2025 and recorded as a sanction of £170,000. Sanctions and settlements stay on the Commission's register for three years from publication, so that figure is what the register carries today and not the company's entire enforcement history — older penalties, including some very large ones, have been withdrawn from the register and are not counted here. The Commission's own wording for each decision is reproduced above.

Which casino brands does Taichi Tech Limited run?

2 trading names are registered against this licence holder: fabet, fafabet. They share the same licences, so the same deposit limits, the same account checks and the same compliance record apply across all of them.

Who do I complain to about Taichi Tech Limited?

Start with the operator in writing. If it is unresolved after eight weeks, or you disagree with its final response, the complaint goes to the alternative dispute resolution provider it is signed up to, free of charge. The Gambling Commission does not settle individual disputes and cannot recover your money, though it does use complaint patterns to drive compliance work.

How is the Safety Record score for Taichi Tech Limited calculated?

From three inputs in the public register, weighted 55 for enforcement burden, 25 for licence standing and 20 for licence tenure, normalised to a mark out of 100. Taichi Tech Limited scores 47. Safer gambling tool coverage and RTP disclosure are only counted where we have tested a site directly; this operator has not been tested, so those weights are excluded rather than guessed at. No commercial arrangement can change the figure.
