Every licensed casino operator, and what is on its record

The Gambling Commission's register currently lists a few hundred companies holding an active remote casino licence. That is the number permitted to offer online casino games to British players. It is considerably smaller than the number of casino brands you will encounter, because one licence holder frequently runs many brands.

Because the unit of record is the licence holder, not the brand. The company on the licence is often a holding or operating entity whose name never appears on the website you actually use. That is precisely why the mapping is worth publishing.

Where a licence holder has no enforcement record and only a minimal footprint of brands and domains, there is not enough on the register to justify a page competing in search results. Those pages still exist and are reachable, they are simply marked not to be indexed rather than padded out.

It is the Safety Record score out of 100, computed from three inputs in the public register: enforcement burden, licence standing and licence tenure. The formula is published in full and no commercial arrangement can alter it.

The list is ordered by penalties recorded, heaviest first, so the companies with the most substantial enforcement history appear at the top. The search box filters by company name and by any brand registered to that company, so typing a casino brand will find its licence holder.

The whole register is re-read weekly and every page carries the date it was read. Licences are granted, surrendered and revoked continually, so treat the list as accurate as at that date.
